Pearl of Wisdom- Process

This digital painting depicts an undersea mermaid with a pearl that attracts the intelligence of the sea. I wanted to ensure that the organic shapes of undersea life were included. I created a wave template that acted as the underlying template for the fishes. A lot of reference images and videos came handy to observe how fish move in groups.

With the painting I wanted to portray how we have to plunge into our own psyche to unearth our feminine wisdom. The pearl represents consciousness and the fishes represent the myriad of thoughts that get magnetized towards this internal center.
